That weird hook at the start? The singer claims that’s her.

BEYONCÉ AND JAY Z are in trouble with a Hungarian folk singer who claims that’s her vocals you hear at the very start of Drunk In Love.

The Guardian reports that Monika Miczura Juhász has accused Beyoncé and Jay Z of illegally sampling her vocals in the track.

Juhász, who performs in Hungary under the name Mitsou, claims that the introduction to the song is a “digitally manipulated” clip from the 1995 song Bajba, Bajba Pelém.

According to the Daily Dot, Juhász is suing for damages, wants 29% of the track’s songwriting credits, and has also asked for Drunk In Love to be permanently banned. (Good luck with that.)

The lawsuit states that she never permitted Bey and Jay to use her voice for any purpose:

All together, Mitsou’s vocals are featured for over one and a half minutes of the five and a half minute song. [Drunk In Love] exploits her voice to evoke foreign eroticism alongside sexually intense lyrics performed by Beyoncé and Jay Z.

This isn’t the first time Beyoncé and Jay Z have been accused of pinching samples – just last week, Jay had a similar suit dismissed over some sampled “ohs” from his 2009 track Run This Town. Ah lads. Stop that carry on.
